We are looking for a qualified person with an experience in bioinformatics that will be involved in research in microbial ecology as well as tool development, data analysis and teaching bioinformatic approaches that will mostly consider high-throughput amplicon and shotgun data obtained by DNA and RNA sequencing of complex environments. The position may be a long-term, so there is a good chance for extension after the initial one-year period.
The candidate will become a member of the Center for Systems Biology (C4SYS), which is a part of the Institute of Microbiology of the CAS oriented towards research in the field of sequencing data analysis and their combination with metadata. In addition to research and tool development, important part of the mission is the training of scientific staff in bioinformatics and provision of solutions to specific bioinformatic problems of individual researchers.
