Qualifications: Quantitative discipline PhD (Statistics, Biostatistics, Physics, Computers Science, Engineering, or similar).
Experience: Real world data analysis experience, experience in using general purpose data analysis environments (such as R) and general programming experience is required. Experience in the quantitative analysis of genomics data would be a big plus. Postdoctoral Computational Scientist in Biomedical Big DataUniversity of Cincinnati Medical CenterLaboratory for Statistical Genomics and Systems BiologyUSA-Ohio-Cincinnati This is a postdoctoral position in the Laboratory for Statistical Genomics and Systems Biology (LSGSB) at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. LSGSB is the Cincinnati site of the NIH funded Big Data to Knowledge (BD2K) center (http://LINS-DCIC.org). The center serves as the Data Coordination and Integration Center for the LINCS project (http://LincsProject.org). The person in this position will work in a multidisciplinary team of biomedical, computational and data scientists to use and develop new integrative data analysis methods and computational tools for systems biology analysis of perturbation signatures generated by the LINCS consortium. Candidates are expected to have strong statistical and computational background and keen interest in biomedical research.
