Job Description:
The main task of the successful candidate will be to identify known genes involved in the detoxification of pesticides, develop in silico microarray probes for each group of genes, work on the development of the DNA microarray and to in vitro evaluate the probes designed. S/he is expected to have a very good knowledge of tools currently used in molecular microbial ecology as well as to be competent in bioinformatics. The person employed will be asked to actively participate in dissemination and outreach activities in order to communicate the aims and the findings of the project to the scientific community but also to the general public.
