Job Description:
Das Klinikum rechts der Isar der Technischen Universität München widmet sich mit 1.091 Betten und rund 5.000 Mitarbeitern der Krankenversorgung, der Forschung und der Lehre. Jährlich profitieren rund 60.000 Patienten von der stationären und rund 240.000 Patienten von der ambulanten Betreuung. The laboratory of Prof. Jürgen Ruland at the university hospital Rechts der Isar of Technische Universität München is offering a position for a Postdoctoral Fellow. Our research is focused on the investigation of signal transduction pathways that control innate immune responses and their contribution to inflammatory and neoplastic diseases (Immunity (2012) 36, 32-42; Nat Immunol. (2011) 12, 709-714; J Exp Med (2010) 207, 1031-1044; Nat Immunol. (2010) 11, 63-69; J Exp Med (2009) 206, 2313-2320; Nature (2009) 459, 433-436). To this end, we are using a wide variety of molecular, cellular, immunological and transgenic techniques in a highly motivating environment.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Immunology
ERC Advanced Grant Project, Technische Universität München

The international research group is supported by an ERC Advanced Grant and well embedded in the Munich biomedical research community. Applicants should have a MD or PhD or equivalent doctoral degree with at least 3 years of proven research experience in molecular biology, immunology or biochemistry. Prior experience with in vivo technologies is advantageous. The ideal candidate has a strong publication record, is able to provide evidence of the ability to work in a team and be experienced in the supervision of graduate students or master students.

Payment is according to tarif (TV-L).
We give priority to severely disabled applicants with essentially equal qualifications.
