Job Description:
A POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW position is currently open at the Institute for Genome Sciences (IGS) in collaboration with the department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.

Dr. Seth Ament (IGS) an expert in systems biology and neuroscience and Dr. Ronna Hertzano (Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery) an expert in hair cell regeneration and functional genomics seek a talented postdoctoral fellow for a collaborative project to study the transcriptional regulatory mechanisms of hair cell differentiation. The postdoc will implement computational systems biology approaches to integrate multi-omic data from several model systems, including the analysis of data from time course single-cell RNA-seq, translatome, ATAC-seq, and related experiments.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have completed a PhD in a life sciences discipline with proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., R or Python), or will have completed a PhD in bioengineering, computer science, or a related field with an emphasis on bioinformatics or biostatistics.
