Job Description:
The Multiscale Network Modeling Laboratory (MNML) at Icahn Institute of Genomics and Multiscale Biology, led by Prof. Bin Zhang, is seeking excellent candidates for Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Biology. Candidates must have a PhD in Bioinformatics, Neuroscience, or a closely related field. The successful candidates are expected to apply novel network inference and mining algorithms to analyze large scale genetic, epigenetic, genomic, and clinical data in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's etc. The candidates will be responsible for identification of novel disease targets and pathways and development of biologically plausible disease models for experimental and clinical validations. The candidates will work in a multidisciplinary environment including an international team of leading scientists in systems biology, cancer and neuroscience.

Additional Info:
MNML is focused on construction and characterization of multiscale biological networks from large-scale genetic and genomic data for discovery of novel targets and mechanisms underlying complex human diseases. Several influential gene network inference algorithms developed by MNML have been extensively used for identification of novel pathways and gene targets, as well as development of drugs. The new additions to MNML are expected to significantly broaden and deepen our current state-of-the-art research in ageing and neurodegenerative diseases.
