Job Description:

NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are available in the Frolov laboratory at Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at University of Illinois at Chicago. Our laboratory investigates the function of Retinoblastoma (RB) tumor suppressor pathway using a Drosophila model system to guide the follow up studies in mammalian cells. The goal of our research is to understand the molecular and cellular functions of RB pathway, its interaction with other tumor suppressor pathways such as Hippo pathway and how these normal activities are perturbed in cancer. We are using diverse genetic, biochemical, single cell and genome-wide approaches to address these questions. These efforts are complemented by functional analysis of mutational landscape in human cancers where we work in close collaboration with a bioinformatics group at IRB Barcelona. For more information about our research please refer to our recent publications: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=((Frolov+MV[Author])+AND+chicago[Affiliation]).
