Job Description:
The candidate will
1. Develop algorithms, databases and web servers for bioinformatics methodology development in the above two areas.
2. Analyze and interpret large OMICs data (ChIP-seq, RNA-seq and WGS/WES) provided by our collaborators.
3. Develop methods to integrate multiple OMICs data (eg ChIP-seq+RNA-seq, RNA-seq+WGS) for function inference.
4. Work with our collaborators for NGS analysis pipeline development and result interpretation. Requirements
1. PhD degree in Quantitative Sciences (Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or Biostatistics etc.) with some biology knowledge, or PhD in Biomedical Sciences with programming experience (python/perl/java/c/c++ and R).
2. Can work collaboratively and independently.
3. Experience with at least two of the following key words is preferred: HMM, ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, WGS, WES, PCA, gene regulatory networks, genetic variants annotation/prioritization, deep learning, machine learning, data mining.

Postdoctoral Position in Bioinformatics & Computational GenomicsMayo ClinicCenter for Individualized MedicineUSA-AZ-Scottsdale Dr. Junwen John Wang’s lab (http://jjwanglab.org) at Mayo Clinic Arizona is recruiting outstanding candidates for postdoc/staff positions in bioinformatics and computational genomics. The lab is affiliated with Department of Health Sciences Research and Center for Individualized Medicine, Mayo Clinic Arizona and Department of Biomedical Informatics, Arizona State University. We currently focus on two main areas: 1) integrative analysis of multi-dimensional OMICs data for gene regulatory network inference, 2) function annotation of genetic variants, particularly these in the noncoding regulatory regions.
