Job Description:
A post-doctoral position is immediately available in the RNA and Stem Cell Biology laboratory of Dr. Cristian Bellodi at the Division of Molecular Hematology, Lund University (Sweden). The core focus of our research is to study new post-transcriptional facets of gene expression control in stem and cancer cell at a molecular, cellular and organismal level. The applicant will join a team of cell and molecular biologists to investigate the contribution of RNA modifications toward stem cell function during development and tumorigenesis. To this end, combinations of transcriptome-wide RNA-sequencing methods will be applied to study unique genetic systems including newly engineered embryonic stem cell lines, transgenic animals and patient-derived cells, which will be available to the fellow.
