Job Description:
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Bioinformatician to contribute to a group of researchers studying the molecular genetic mechanisms leading to atopic eczema; the post will be hosted jointly in the laboratory of Prof Sara Brown at the School of Medicine and Prof Geoff Barton at the School of Life Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled bioinformatician/computational biologist or scientist with strong data analysis skills to play a significant part in a £1.8 million Wellcome Trust-funded project. The work combines cutting-edge technology in molecular genetics and cell biology with bioinformatic analysis to answer fundamental questions about the mechanisms leading to skin inflammation and atopic eczema. The successful applicant will, depending on their experience and interests:
