Job Description:
Responsibilities:

Lead bioinformatics efforts for CRISPR gene editing across crop species, including working with graduate students and crop research groups to prioritize target genes, analyze sequences,design sgRNAs and help analyze sequence data of edited progeny. Assist with optimizing CRISPR techniques in the Agrilife Research Crop Genome Editing. Assist with optimizing next-generation sequencing techniques in the AgriLifef Research Genomics and Bioinformatics Services Lab. Other duties as required.

Required Education and Required Experience: PhD.

Required Special knowledge abilities and skills:

Familiarity with molecular genetics concepts, good communication and computer skills, good lab skills, ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
