Job Description:
We are actively recruiting for a postdoctoral position in the Mueller lab to conduct plant bioinformatics research. The position will focus on plant genomics, expression analysis, and tool development, as well as database development and maintenance. There will be opportunities in the position to teach and develop bioinformatics courses and educational tools. Candidates must have completed graduate-level coursework in genetics, programming, statistics, and have authored peer-reviewed publications. Successful candidates should have 1) experience working in a Linux environment, as well as programming proficiency in at least one of the following: R, Perl, Python, and C++, 2) experience in high throughput data analysis, 3) ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment, and 4) strong analytic, organizational, oral, and written communication skills. A Ph.D. is required in genetics, plant biology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.
