Job Description:
Postdoctoral researcherUniversity of Pennsylvania Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher to join the multi-diciplinary groups of bioinformatics & medicine. The successful candidates will work closely with experimental biologists and be responsible for developing tools to analyze epigenomic (histone modification and DNA methylation) and genomic (Gro-seq, ChIP-seq) data. By applying integrative approaches, he/she will study gene regulatory mechanism including, but not limited to, during adipogenesis and cell differentiation. Projects are highly multidisciplinary and closely collaborate with other members in the Epigenetics Program, and the Department of Genetics at the University of Pennsylvania.

An ideal candidate should obtain a Ph.D. in bioinformatics/computer science/physics or a related filed, be highly motivated in solving biological problems and have strong programming skills. Expertise in developing bioinformatics tools using data mining and signal processing is highly recommended.
