Postdoctoral Positions are available to study drug resistance in malaria parasite. The International Center of Excellence of Malaria Research program funded by NIH, including collaboration among multiple international institutions, studies molecular mechanisms underlying drug resistance of the parasite. This work focuses on the use of a large archive of parasite strains to perform genome analysis and functional studies of candidate resistance genes. Applicants interested should have a recent Ph.D. in related fields in molecular biology, genomics, or bioinformatics. Previous experience working with the malaria parasites is a plus, though not required. Please include CV, statement of career goals, and names of three references in your application materials.
