Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Scientist who is a self-starter, understands genetic sequencing bioinformatics data and clinical trial data, brings the diverse sources of data together, organizes and prepares them for in depth investigation. He/she has multidisciplinary skill sets (data aggregation, biostatistics programming and inference) and effectively collaborates with scientists, bioinformaticians and clinicians.

How you will spend your time:

  • Application of data and text mining techniques on a wide array of data sets.
  • Collaborate with the project team in the design and development of protocols, statistical analysis plans, and data management plans.
  • Support data analytics through collection and analysis of multiple data sources to enable decision making and product/process quality improvement.
  • Analyze and interpret statistical data in order to identify significant differences in relationships among sources of information, especially between genetic mutation and clinical outcomes.
  • Process large amounts of data for statistical modeling.
  • Prepare reports summarizing the insights of data analysis.
  • Develop software tools and research on new method to facilitate data analysis and presentation.
Experience, skills, talents you will need:
  • PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related life science fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics with significant focus on both clinical trials data and bioinformatics/sequencing data analysis responsibilities.
  • Familiar with databases and data management tools.
  • Strong computer programing skills in SAS, R, or Python, etc.
  • Excellent track record in problem solving, decision making, project management, and technical leadership.
  • Effective communicator (both oral and written) in explaining methodology and data insights to team members and understanding requests for complex analyses.
  • Exceptional team player with strong collaborative skills in complex team environment.
