- Develop APIs and SDKs that are part of a secure cloud-based platform.
- Engage deeply with partners — from household brands to the developer community — to integrate and build groundbreaking genomics applications.
- Build for scale across multiple dimensions, from users to partners to engineering best practices.
- Create a product and platform from scratch. There is no legacy code to maintain — start with a blank canvas to shape the technology, company, and industry.
- 7+ years development experience in Java, C#, or C++
- Interest or experience in Golang
- Experience delivering high-scale applications and services with partners in high-touch engagements
- Experience building service oriented architectures
- Experience architecting large, high-scale back end systems
- Thought leadership and a successful track record mentoring other engineers
- Proficiency with distributed systems built on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Command of data modeling, data stores (relational, NoSQL), query optimization
- Experience developing APIs and SDKs
- Affinity for an engineering culture that emphasizes Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery
- BS+ in Computer Science required; coursework in genetics/bioinformatics a plus
- Great problem-solving skills and experience with some or all of these areas: software platforms, consumer applications, genomics
