We are seeking energetic, forward-thinking professionals to join our Information Technology group in Prague. As part of that team, you will help launch our new IT Global Innovation Center focused on developing and applying advanced capabilities in information sciences, information security, mobility, social media and big data. Qualifications
We are seeking professionals with the following qualifications, skills and Experience:
Education Minimum Requirement:
- MSc. Degree in Life Science, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Computer Science.
Required Experience and Skills:
- End to end understanding of use of data in scientific decision-making.
- Understands data registration processes especially for chemistry and biology.
- Knows how to create scientific analysis templates and configure standard tools to browse scientific data.
- Familiarity with Research IT tools including at least one of following: Activitybase, Biobook, BioAssay, Biovia/Accelrys/Symyx suite, Pipeline Pilot, ChemAxon suite.
- Understands requirement gathering.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Strong understanding of R&D processes, particularly in Discovery research.
- Experience working with CROs/scientific partnerships.
- Experience managing to customer service model.
- Process improvement understanding/experience.
- Experience working with IT partners.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages used in support of scientific research (including Pipeline Pilot, Python).
- Business case development.
- Understanding of computer programming (any language).
- 2+ years resource management skills.
- Good collaboration skills.
- Problem solving, managing multiple priorities and projects (P).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- Provide oversight of upload and publishing of scientific data for use in research workflows and decision-making.
- Creation and management of analysis templates for use in Small
- Molecule/Biologics/Vaccines Pharmacology and/or High Throughput Screening.
- Manage compound and biological assay registration service for research areas.
- Provide and manage technical and scientific support of IT tools used in support of in vivo, in vitro, HTS, Drug Metabolism, medicinal chemistry and other areas.
