Job Summary
The Anderson lab at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine is for searching for a postdoctoral fellow to learn about and to study funded research projects that could involve the following areas:
a) Use of transgenic mice and mouse and human stem cells to study the fate determination of GABAergic interneuron subtypes.
b) Use of human stem cells to study dysregulation of forebrain development in the context of the Ring 14 syndrome.
Competitive applicants must be truly fluent in both spoken and written English, and must have extensive experience in both molecular biology and cell culture techniques. Experience in Neuroscience is preferred, as is basic experience with bioinformatics (as applied to RNA-seq, ATAC-seq).

Job Responsibilities
Conduct independent scholarly research and develop new methods and protocols
Participate in project planning, recording and evaluation of data
Acquire technical, lab management and grant writing skills
Participate in seminars, lectures, poster sessions and presentation at national meetings
Supervise junior lab members
Assist with other research projects
Required Education and Experience
A terminal degree PhD, MD, DVM, etc.
According to the CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) a copy of diploma or transcript is required as proof of academic achievement for all non-laboratory personnel performing non-waived POC testing
