Job Description:
Position Purpose: To support the activities of the March of Dimes Perinatal Data Center (PDC) in collecting, analyzing and interpreting maternal and child health-related data, conducting research and preparing reports. To support the PDC in the development and implementation of mission-related program outcome and quality improvement databases.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Support the Perinatal Data Center (PDC) in managing, analyzing and interpreting maternal and child health-related data. Manage existing databases in SPSS, acquire and process data from external sources for use in analytic work and distribution to PeriStats. Provide quality assurance for databases and products. Summarize and interpret data to support the activities of March of Dimes national and field staff, including assisting in updating current PDC products and developing new materials as necessary.

2. Provide project management and analytic support for projects under a March of Dimes cooperative agreement with the CDC, including two grant projects on birth defects.

3. Support the ongoing maintenance of an online data collection system for program evaluation.

Position Qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in public health (epidemiology, maternal and child health, bioinformatics or biostatistics).

• Two to four years of previous work experience in a related position(s) that required use of epidemiologic methods, management of large data sets, statistical analyses and/or project management.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Expertise in data management and database development

• Proficiency in SPSS and SAS, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point.

• Experience with REDCap preferred.
