Job Description:
The role of the Research Assistant is to work within Hanger Clinic’s Department of Clinical and Scientific Affairs contributing to the design and implementation of patient engagement strategies, develop Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG), and establish outcomes tracking and analysis capabilities across Hanger Clinic.

-Perform data collection, data entry, and analysis to be utilized to in programs across Hanger

-Conduct literature reviews with minimal direction and supervision

-Assist in the preparation both grant and IRB submissions with minimal direction

-Setup and maintain data bases to be used by multiple teams

-Interface in person and electronically with both internal and external clinical, administrative and executive personnel

-Manage and respond to project related communications proactively and timely

-Provide administrative and data support to clinical teams by assisting project teams in the completion of assigned project activities

-Attend project meetings as required

-Assist with travel arrangements

-Exhibit good written and verbal communication skills

-Attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify trends

-Critical thinking skills

-Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics

-Basic understanding of the orthotic and prosthetic business

-Basic knowledge of MS Office suite programs

-Demonstrate high ethical standards regarding confidential patient and billing information.

Experience And Education:

-Bachelor’s degree preferably in a research related field including but not limited to statistics, bioinformatics and clinical research administration.

-Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience
