Job Description:

A major focus of our research groups is the use of “-omics” approaches to improve diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases. The department has a rich mixture of laboratory scientists, bioinformaticians, statisticians and clinicians all working together. Many projects are highly translational and aim to ultimately improve patient care. Applicants should have a MSc or equivalent in Bioinformatics or related subject. The post holder will perform the bioinformatic analyses, take a leading role in presentation of the data, and will help with interpretation of the data. The post holder will also help to produce independent and original research, submit publications to refereed journals, and occasionally help with teaching and administration within the research group. This project will involve a high degree of teamwork and interdisciplinary research with internal and external collaborators.
