Job Description:
You will conduct high-quality research under the direction of the Head of Genetics and Molecular Pathology. Contributing to a number of key projects, you will be involved in a range of in silico and/or wet-lab experimental approaches associated with identifying and confirming the causes of genetic disorders including predisposition to cancers (especially for blood cancers) and causing perinatal death.

Please note: The level of appointment will depend on qualifications and experience.

Skills And Experience:

To be successful you will have an honours degree (Research Assistant), post-graduate qualifications (Research Associate) or PhD (Research Fellow) in a genetics, bioinformatics or cell/molecular biology-related discipline, paired with the ability to record, analyse, present and disseminate research results to key stakeholders. Previous participation in research as evidenced by published work will be advantageous, as will strong organisational skills, ability to work independently and collaborative and results-driven nature. Experience in the analysis of next generation sequencing data, with a specific focus on mutation and structural DNA variant analysis will be essential for the Research Fellow level.
