Job Description:
This position will work 20 hours per week

•To support the activities of the March of Dimes Perinatal Data Center (PDC) in collecting and analyzing public health data, preparing reports, and presenting information to others.

•To support the PDC in the development and implementation of mission-related program outcome and quality improvement databases.

Position Description:

•Create and update spreadsheets, graphics, and reports on national and regional public health data as needed for the Perinatal Data Center and the Foundation. Proportion of time 40%

•Maintain and analyze existing national perinatal databases. Develop and maintain new databases which expand the state/local capacity of the Perinatal Data Center. Proportion of time 35%

•Provides support and technical assistance to field and national staff, volunteers and the public on the use of perinatal data. Proportion of time 15%

•Develop and maintain databases to track Perinatal Data Center requests to help inform the development of future Perinatal Data Center products and services. Proportion of time 5%

•Other projects as assigned. Proportion of time 5%

Position Responsibilities:

Support the March of Dimes Perinatal Data Center (PDC) in the ongoing maintenance of an online system to manage and evaluate March of Dimes funding of CenteringPregnancy group prenatal care programs.

•Provide user access, issue quality checks, address user questions.

•Implement REDCap database enhancements as needed.

•Train participating CenteringPregnancy site staff on data entry and use of the database.

•Modify and develop reports in SAS, accommodating changes to REDCap database structure.

•Provide quarterly reports to national and field staff. Develop reports within REDCap for internal staff.

Position Qualifications:

Education and Previous Experience:

•A Master’s Degree in public health (epidemiology, maternal and child health, bioinformatics or biostatistics).

•2-4 years previous work experience in a position(s) that required use of epidemiologic methods, management of data sets, and/or report development.

Knowledge/Skills:

•Expertise in data management and database development

•Proficiency in SPSS/SAS, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point.

•Documented experience with REDCap project development and administration.

Certification:

•Proficiency in SAS (SAS Certified Base or Advanced Programmer for SAS 9)

•Completion of Course on REDCap (Data Management for Clinical Research by Coursera)
