Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate in Bioinformatics to undertake work on a BRC funded study exploring sensor based technology and the development of clinical decision making analytics.

The post holder will play an integral role in supporting members of the Centre for Interventional Paediatric Psychopharmacology and Rare Diseases (CIPPRD) Research Team to develop algorithms using web and sensor-based data that can assist medication decision making to manage patients with complex multi-morbidity. The post offers a unique opportunity for the suitable candidate to be directly involved in the development and modification of biometric sensors and would be suited for someone who has a strong background in algorithm development and machine learning, and expertise in developing and extensive testing of hardware. The candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary clinical and research team aiming to combine the use of algorithms with web and sensor-based data to help in the treatment of patients with multi-comorbidity.

This post is well suited to a highly motivated individual with excellent technical skills that has the willingness to work within a clinical team that is using analytics to make a translational impact on the patient care pathway. Candidates should have a PhD (or will shortly be assessed for a PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or other relevant area.

Grade 6, £33,518 to £35,550 based on experience, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.
