Job Description:
A great opportunity became available for Postdoctoral Fellow in Bioinformatics in Dr Nicholas McGranahan laboratory, which is exploring cancer genome evolution and anti-tumour immunity. The candidate will be expected to utilize evolutionary, mathematical and statistical methods to dissect cancer evolution based in particular upon next generation sequencing data. In addition, the candidate will be expected to be able to independently lead projects from start to finish, taking a supervisory role when needed. The positions are initially funded until 30/04/2019 by BRC and Rosetrees respectively The successful applicant will have a proven track record of publications in high impact journals, be fluent in at least one of the following programming languages: C++, Python or R, and is expected to have strong skills in the field of one or more of the following: cancer genomics, evolutionary biology, statistics, mathematics and machine learning. Knowledge of and experience with Bayesian statistics is particularly desired.

The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £34,056- £41,163 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
