Job Description:
The University of Luxembourg is a multilingual, international research University. The Bioinformatics CORE team at the Luxembourg Centre of Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) has the following vacancy.Research associate on projects in systems biomedicine. Area: Knowledge and project management in systems biomedicine, with focus on projects in the emerging area of disease maps. LCSB is a leader in the area of development and application of computerized knowledge repositories about disease mechanisms - disease maps. We work jointly with a number of domain experts across Europe on various projects in the area of systems biomedicine to improve the way the knowledge about diseases is encoded and applied in research. We are looking for young scientists that will help us with this effort. Your Role: You will contribute to ongoing projects in the area of disease maps and systems biomedicine by staying in contact with the network of collaborators (life scientists, clinical researchers, bioinformaticians) to monitor and evaluate the status of the projects. As the Bioinformatics CORE at LCSB develops a number of tools supporting the disease maps scientific community, you will also provide necessary training materials to the end users, help to organize training sessions, collect and analyse their feedback.

Qualifications
Your Profile:- Master’s degree in computational biology, molecular biology, computer science, physics, or related discipline.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of English.
- Previous experience with project and knowledge management in a research environment will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of the multiple fields comprising the systems biomedicine will be beneficial.
