Job Description:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research. The successful applicants will have experience in the field of Immunology with a focus on tumor immunology and immunotherapies against cancer. In addition, the candidates will need to display experience in cancer vaccines, animals care, dendritic cell therapy an peptide vaccination, molecular and mitochondria biology, aseptic tissue culturing, flow cytometry and bioinformatics analysis. The successful applicants must have the ability to work independently in designing and performing high-level research in cancer immunotherapy, as well as familiarity writing manuscripts and grant proposals. Supervision of technical staff and students is required. Extensive interactions with other post-doctoral fellows, students, and technical staff are expected.
