Job Description:
The Bioinformatician/Computational Biologist will focus on epigenetic mechanisms of stem cell fate, genome stability and cancer epigenetics, and reprogramming and transdifferentiation, using experimental, genomics, and bioinformatics approaches. The Bioinformatician/Computational Biologist will also integrate functional studies and computational analysis of epigenomic and transcriptomic data. More information on the Kidder Lab can be found at: http://www.kidderlab.wayne.edu/ http://benjaminkidderlab.com/ Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required for Research Assistant position -Doctoral degree required for Research Associate and Postdoctoral Research Fellow position -Doctoral degree must have been received within last three years for Postdoctoral Research Fellow position Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, Doctoral Degree preferred. -Computer programming skills in at least one language (python, perl, C/C++, R) -Excellent communication skills (oral and written) -Experience with analyzing next-generation sequencing datasets. -First or co-first publications.
