Job Description:
The Cancer Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a 620-bed teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and a founding member of the NCI-designated Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center (DF/HCC), seeks applications for a research bioinformatician in the Institute for RNA Medicine at BIDMC. The successful candidate will be put forward for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the HMS Department of Pathology, and will also be appointed as a faculty member in the Institute for RNA Medicine and the Cancer Center. Suitable candidates must have a strong background in bioinformatics with a focus on non-coding RNAs. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong research program with vigorous extramural funding, and foster an environment of excellence and collaboration across departments. Competitive salary, start-up funds and laboratory space will be provided. Requirements: Applicants should have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent title in bioinformatics, cancer science, outstanding training and mentoring skills. Expertise in non-coding RNA genetics and in vivo mouse modeling of cancer is also highly desirable.
