Job Description
The pharmacogenomics program at Mayo Clinic Rochester, in conjunction with the Departments of Health Sciences Research and Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, is seeking a postdoctoral fellow with a strong interest in developing and applying computational methods to cancer biology. The candidate will be working with the group of bioinformaticians, computer scientists, biostatisticians, tumor biologists, and clinical investigators on a major breast cancer research program that focuses on pharmacogenomics and next generation sequencing datasets. The candidate should have experience/knowledge in at least two of the following areas: genomic data analysis, sequence analysis, biostatistics, bioinformatics, high throughput genomic analysis, cancer pathophysiology, pharmacogenomics, network modeling and other relevant areas. Ph.D. or equivalent is required with a strong quantitative background and proficiency with scientific computing software and scripting languages. The ideal candidate would have solid programming skills and research experience in biological sciences. Strong computer programming (C/C++, perl/python, Matlab, R) in at least two languages and analytical skills are essential. An established track record in peer-viewed journals is a significant plus. A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. 800146; J2WRTPBasic Qualifications
Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.Requeriments :
