Project Title: Precision medicine for aggressive lymphoma
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual to carry out laboratory work as part of a multi-centre laboratory programme to develop a diagnostic platform for precision medicine in lymphoma. The project is in collaboration with the Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (HMDS) at St. James University Hospital (Leeds), and the Universities of Southampton, Oxford, Cambridge and Queen Mary (London). Your main role will be carrying out a range of laboratory techniques which will include gene expression profiling and sequencing. The post will be based at St James’s University Hospital and will require close collaboration with other laboratory staff in the department and with those engaged in the bioinformatics components of the project.
You will have a PhD (or be about to submit a thesis for examination) in a biological discipline, and you will also have prior experience or knowledge of gene expression analysis, sequencing and copy number analysis. Knowledge of the biology of leukaemia and lymphoma would be an advantage.
