Main responsibilities are the following:
- Interface with research scientists and provide support as a genomics/informatics expert.
- Function as a genomics/informatics lead starting from experimental design, quantitative data analysis, to functional interpretation of the results and generation of testable hypothesis from a number of genomics platforms, particularly next generation sequencing.
- Prepare concise and insightful presentations, reports and manuscripts for internal and external presentations/publications.
- Review and evaluate clinical and scientific literature to identify external genomics/informatics resources and analytical methodologies that are relevant to internal applications.
- Collaborate with computational engineer to generate custom data analysis workflows that can be utilized by a wider group of scientists.
- Advocate genomics/informatics approaches and benefits within the company.
