The Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering (http://wysscenter.ch/), a newly launched private research foundation, is recruiting members to join its unique interdisciplinary team of experts. The Center is a partner in an exciting new Neuroscience hub being developed at Campus Biotech in Geneva Switzerland. Campus Biotech includes neuroscience and engineering faculty from École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the University of Geneva (UNIGE), and the Hospital of the University of Geneva (HUG) and the EU Human Brain Project in a state of the art facility supporting basic and translational neuroscience research and engineering. The Wyss Center bridges the gap between innovative academic research and the successful realization of clinically and commercially viable neurotechnologies by providing multidisciplinary project guidance, strategic partnerships, key enabling neuroscience and engineering platforms, and project funding. The Wyss team of experts will include scientists and engineers from industry and academia, as well as regulatory, and clinical experts who work together with academic researchers, industry collaborators and clinicians to translate early stage neurotechnology into real world solutions that can restore lost nervous system functions. Technology of interest ranges from neuromodulation and neurofeedback therapies to neural prosthetics and multimodal motor, sensory, cognitive, affective, and autonomic rehabilitation approaches.
