Job Description:
Several post-doctoral positions are immediately available to join the INSERM Unit U981-Gustave Roussy and the CNRS UMR 3348-Institut Curie to work on collaborative projects led by Caroline ROBERT and Stéphan VAGNER.
The projects will use molecular biology and high throughput RNA sequencing approaches to analyse the mechanisms and impact of translational control in the resistance to targeted therapies in melanoma.
We invite applications from highly self-motivated individuals holding a PhD degree in Molecular Biology and with a strong focus on the mechanistic aspects of translational control and the analysis of large data sets. A background in bioinformatics is not required but would be a plus.
Candidates are expected to apply for their own grants, but a salary is granted for at least the first year regardless of their success in external applications.
Selected relevant and recent publication:
eIF4F is a nexus of resistance to anti-BRAF and anti-MEK cancer therapies.
Boussemart L, Malka-Mahieu H, Girault I, Allard D, Hemmingsson O, Tomasic G, Thomas M, Basmadjian C, Ribeiro N, Thuaud F, Mateus C, Routier E, Kamsu-Kom N, Agoussi S, Eggermont AM, Désaubry L, Robert C, Vagner S. Nature. 2014 Sep 4;513(7516):105-9
Candidates should send their application including a motivation letter, CV and two contact addresses for references to
Caroline Robert (caroline.robert@gustaveroussy.fr)
and Stéphan Vagner (stephan.vagner@curie.fr)
