- Works closely with Senior Executives, the Chief Scientist, and Product Managers to envision functions and features that will be valued by our customers; you will be envisioning the features and functions that leap-frog the current state of the industry.
- Works closely with other Research Scientists, Project Managers and Software Engineers to translate future customer requirements into productize-able solutions.
- Research, define, design, develop, analyze and optimize new and existing sensing and fusing algorithms for current and future products writing software and analyzing data from mobile and/or wearable devices.
- Researching and prototyping “User behavior and activity pattern analysis and continuous monitoring for risk analysis and identification based on user profile and smart phone/wearable on-device motion sensor data
- Responsible for biometric device and SDK evaluation in multi-modal biometric mobile identity platform.
- Provide technical leadership in identifying potential issues, proposing solutions, and troubleshooting mobile motion sensor devices and their associated issues.
- Leverage relationships with research partners to expand and enhance our motion-based sensing capabilities.
- PhD in EE, CS, Computer Science, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Biometrics or related fields; or MS with a minimum 3 years of experience in research oriented role.
- Strong relative experience with mobile MEMS motion sensing devices; particularly as applied to human motion.
- Advanced knowledge in either mobile device based gait analysis or screen/device touch event analysis or both; MEMS device normalization, feature extraction, and model development as applied to identity authentication.
- A deep knowledge of mobile device motion sensors and the hardware manufacturer pipeline, with a focus on consumer mobile devices.
- Experience pattern recognition, signal processing, and intelligent systems as it related to location, localization, gesture detection or tracking and/or device feedback for bioinformatics or biomarker identification.
- A working understanding of the differences in the way these sensors are deployed, accessed and used in Android versus iOS systems.
- Experience with wearable sensors
- Experience fusing motion sensor output with other sensor data (i.e. Bluetooth, wifi, etc.)
- Experience with deep learning algorithms
