Job Description:
Our team in Munich is looking for a highly motivated, creative and passionate:Research Scientist Bioinformatics (f/m) Full-time, 2.5 year contract

Your Key Responsibilities:

• You will work on a research project for an international client, which will require to use standard project planning techniques.

• You manage and support the analysis of large-scale data of proteomics.

• Meeting on a regular basis with the project teams, you explain the results of your analysis and give advice on the experimental design.

• In exchange with your colleagues from the Biochemistry and Mass Spectrometry department, you develop tailored statistical analysis methods.

• In cooperation with your colleagues in Toulouse, you support the timely technological transfer from our Munich office to Toulouse.

• In internal and client meetings, you present your results.

• You actively communicate with data producers and data users in an interdisciplinary environment.

Your Qualifications:

• You obtained a PhD degree in bioinformatics, physics, computer science, biochemistry, or a related field.

• Ideally, you work as postdoc or have first work experience in the industry.

• During your PhD, you have proven your understanding of the principles of project management. You successfully set priorities and completed projects within time and budget.

• Offering strong programming skills in Matlab or R, you ideally are also experienced in using classical statistical methods and modern concepts, such as Bayesian statistics, bootstrapping, and machine learning.

• Presenting and communicating results comes easily thanks to your excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) top off your profile.

• Ideally you speak German as well, if not, you have a strong commitment to master the German language in a timely manner.
