Job Description:
The Coriell Institute for Medical Research is currently seeking a Bioinformatics or Data Scientist to conduct collaborative research using data from the Coriell Personalized Medicine Collaborative (CPMC), an ongoing personalized medicine study. The scientist will design, conduct and interpret genetic analyses of genotyping and sequencing data paired with medical, medication and lifestyle information from study participants. The ideal candidate for this position should have strong quantitative skills, the ability to work independently, and be ready to learn. The scientist will join a vibrant inter-disciplinary team - including epidemiologists, geneticists, computer scientists and engineers - working on the investigation and implementation of precision medicine. A Master’s degree in bioinformatics or a related discipline with 3-5 years’ experience, or Ph.D. in bioinformatics or a related discipline is required.
