Location: Main Campus Position Summary: The Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona seeks candidates for a part-time Research Specialist position to study population genetics inference of how strongly deleterious mutation frequencies vary across genes. Duties & Responsibilities: Developing bioinformatics pipelines, statistically analyzing results, writing manuscripts. Minimum Qualifications: Prior experience in theoretical population genetics, bioinformatics, and statistics. Strong programming and mathematical skills. Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND two years related research experience; OR, Six years research experience appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Full Time/Part Time: Part Time Number of Hours Worked per Week: 19 Benefits Eligible: No Posted Rate of Pay: $21.00 Per Hour Type of criminal background check required: Name-based criminal background check (non-security sensitive) Close Date: 12/20/2016
