Science Project Manager for a national research programmeLuxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB)Luxembourg-Luxembourg A National Centre of Excellence in Research on Parkinson’s disease (NCER-PD) will be set up in Luxembourg with an initial funding of 8 years duration. NCER-PD will be an interdisciplinary effort, combining clinical, experimental and computational research in order to develop the foundation of a future predictive, preventive and personalized medicine in Parkinson’s disease.

The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is coordinating NCER-PD together with the other biomedical research institutions and hospitals in Luxembourg and in collaboration with international partners and initiatives. In order to coordinate these efforts with the principal investigators and the leadership of the participating institutions, the LCSB is seeking to appoint a

Science Project Manager for a national research programme (f/m)

Your Role

Support of the NCER-PD director and the principal investigators in the execution of the programme.
Integration of the NCER-PD programme activities and communication among the different partners, projects and stakeholders including the scientific community and the general public.
Development of an organisational framework to establish a sustainable Parkinson’s disease centre together with the leadership of the participating institutions.
Organisational coordination of the project events, such as annual programme meetings and symposia, Project Committee and Scientific Advisory Board meetings.
Organisation of scientific and financial monitoring and timely reporting to the Scientific Advisory Board and the national funding agency FNR.
Engagement in fundraising to gain further financial support by public and private funders.
Serving as the main contact person of NCER-PD concerning all organisational issues.  Your Profile

PhD in biomedicial or computational sciences.
Knowledge of the interface between biological and clinical research is required.
Basic knowledge of bioinformatics and / or computational sciences and a willingness to acquire further knowledge is necessary.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English and good knowledge in French and German.
Proven experience of collaborative research, research management and project management tools and techniques.
Experience of working independently and in a team-orientated, collaborative environment
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills are required.
Ability to effectively organise, prioritise and execute tasks in a highly dynamic environment.
