Job Description:
Job Duties:

  • Develops computer code for scientific software packages according to defined code design specifications, both in individual assignments and in team efforts with multiple developers using state-of-the-art programming languages
  • Analyzes, curates, and debugs codes written by other programmers and scientists
  • Analyzes and integrates existing commercial and open-source software solutions with tailored in-house software solutions
  • Programs databases according to design specifications of data models using state-of-the-art languages to access databases
  • Integrates scientific software packages with database solutions
  • Designs and develops user interfaces to scientific software packages
  • Develops web- and app-interfaces to scientific software packages
**Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Python, Matlab and Linux, and one other language (R, C, C++)
  • Experience in one or more of the primary neuroimaging software pipelines (SPM, NiPype, diffusion MRI software (Camino, DTI-TK, DTI-studio, DiPy, TrackVis), FSL, AFNI, ANTS, or FreeSurfer)
  • Familiarity with one or more medical imaging modalities: MRI, PET/SPECT, CT, MEG or EEG
  • Optional but helpful experience: Familiarity with one or more medical image formats (NIFTI, DICOM)
  • Experience in C/C++ (ITK library), cMake
  • Experience in major machine learning Python libraries (Keras, sklearn, Yensorflow, NiLearn)
  • Experience developing image processing or image analysis software.n5. Experience in distributed computing environments
  • The candidate will help automate pipelines running on our high performance compute cluster, and develop skills deploying machine learning algorithms
Experience and Education:

M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field OR B.S. with demonstrated experience in software development projects. Some post-graduation experience in software development.
