Job Description:
This position is an exciting opportunity in Attribute Sciences based at Amgen's Cambridge site in Boston. The role is in a newly established function dedicated to enhancing attribute understanding and method performance for biotechnology products. Responsibilities will include the development of computational and statistical data tools for monitoring analytical method performance and attributes. The position offers an opportunity to make an impact through deployment of data driven approaches on a dynamic and varied product portfolio in a highly cross-functional, phase independent and collaborative environment.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 4 years of Scientific, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Bioinformatics experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Scientific, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Bioinformatic sexperience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral/Master's degree in engineering/applied mathematics/bioinformatics or other similar field with specialization in computational modeling/statistical data analysis
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Biotech/Pharma Process Development in an analytical sciences / quality control group.
  • Experience in applying data analysis, database management and statistical analysis, including design of experiments, in-order to solve analytical method issues and evaluate opportunities for improvements
  • Familiarity with software tools (Spotfire/R/Matlab/Hadoop/JMP, etc.) to aggregate and analyze/visualize data
  • Possess understanding of regulatory and GLP/cGMP requirements
  • Ability to deliver high quality results in a timely manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong leadership skills and decision making abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal direction.
  • Able to adapt to changing business needs and operational requirements.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to take on several projects at one time
  • Be able to multi-task and function in a dynamic environment
