Job Description:
Repare currently has an outstanding opportunity available for a motivated and accomplished computational scientist. The successful candidate will develop and apply advanced data analysis approaches to impact critical decisions across all stages of oncology drug R&D, from target identification, translational research to clinical development. A critical component of the job will be the close collaboration with internal drug discovery teams and external investigators. Job title/position will depend on the experience of the candidate. Key Responsibilities: – Develop novel methods/algorithms for analysis and integration of high-throughput functional genomics data – Apply and develop data-mining tools and techniques for integrative analysis and visualization of multi-dimensional large-scale data sets, including next-generation sequencing, CRISPR screening, and cancer Omics data. – Execute in-depth analyses of cancer Omics and experimental data to inform target identification and patient selection in collaboration with bench scientists. – Acts as an expert consultant and scientific resource on computational and statistical topics. Qualifications: – PhD in Computational Biology, System Biology, Bioinformatics, or related fields with 3+ years of post-graduate experience. – Proficiency with R, Python or other scripting languages for statistical computing and graphics. – A solid understanding of molecular biology; experience in cancer research and DNA Damage and Repair is highly desirable. – Demonstrated experience with statistical analysis of large-scale biological data. – Familiarity with parallel computing, database (e.g., SQL) and cloud computing. – Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate in an open, clear, timely and consistent manner. – Ability to work as a team member in a dynamic, fast-paced biotech environment where you can make a clear impact.
