Job Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated genomic bioinformatics specialist to join our small but growing private research company. This position will be responsible for, among other things, in-depth analyses of whole genome, epigenetic, SNP and gene expression data to discover potential disease-associated traits and practical, highly-translatable, actionable therapeutic targets for disease prevention and therapy. Broad knowledge of human disease genetics and sincere interest in human aging and regenerative medicine is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have the following: - BS, MS or PhD in a biomedical science or bioinformatics preferred (other backgrounds considered) - In-depth knowledge of human genetics as well as genomic, epigenetic, SNP and gene expression datasets - Experience with modern genome analysis software (e.g. Enlis™, other NGS analysis software, online and open-source software) and bioinformatics databases (e.g. NCBI, EBI, Ensembl) - Broad working knowledge of human disease genetics - Demonstrated track record of highly practical and translational thinking - Ability to work well in small group settings - Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Attention to detail and quality record keeping - Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship If interested, please apply via this LinkedIn ad and attach your cover letter and CV (merged as one document is fine).
