We are seeking a talented bioinformatician to play a pivotal role in advancing translational and biomarker efforts for ORIC’s ongoing clinical programs. The successful candidate will also work closely with the biology team to translate preclinical findings and to guide future development of ORIC’s expanding clinical portfolio. Primary Responsibilities:
- Actively contribute to ORIC’s translational and biomarker efforts for ongoing clinical trials.
- Work collaboratively with the biology team in the analysis and interpretation of pre-clinical in vitro and in vivo data and translation of these findings into testable clinical hypotheses.
- Leverage internal and publically available genomic datasets to identify target indications and patients subsets for ORIC’s current and future pipeline.
- PhD in bioinformatics, biostatistics, and computational biology with 0-7+ years of post-PhD experience in academia or industry. Alternatively, PhD in molecular biology, immunology, or a related field combined with very strong evidence of high-throughput data analysis experience
- Solid understanding of relevant concepts in cancer biology and genetics and/or in immunology.
- Broad experience in the analysis and interpretation of data generated by next-generation sequencing, microarrays, multiplexed qPCR, flow cytometry, and proteomics, as evidenced by a strong publication record.
- A deep understanding of the statistical principles and best practices in genomic and molecular data analysis.
- Strong experience in the use of R, MATLAB, Python and/or Perl for complex data analysis and data visualization.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to handle several concurrent, fast-paced projects.
