Job Description:
The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing bioinformatics solutions to very challenging data analysis problems in genetic testing. Most work will involve analysis of NextGen sequencing data, especially exome and whole genome data. The successful candidate will produce analysis tools of the highest quality. Responsibilities: -Design, develop, test and deploy software tools or algorithms to process Next Gen sequencing data -Implement state-of-the-art algorithms from literature -Design experiments and perform validations -Manage NGS analysis projects with clear timeline and data delivery -Support all users of Bioinformatics systems, including occasional off-hour support -Create and maintain necessary documentation for regulatory compliance -Follow established procedures, best practices and CAP/CLIA guidelines Position Requirements: -Education: Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computational/ Systems Biology, or a related field. PhD preferred -Minimum of 2 years of experience with Next Generation Sequencing data and analysis using bioinformatics tools.
