Responsibilities Include:

  • Self-starter that thrives within a challenging, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Developing new algorithms to solve complex scientific data processing problems.
  • Quickly develop, contribute and vet ideas through exploratory hypothesis testing.
  • Communicating professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
Position Requirements:
  • A MS/Ph.D. in Biostatistics/Computational Biology
  • Four or more years Industry-related experience
  • Ability to derive and build general statistical models that thoroughly explain complex system behavior
  • Experience with machine learning techniques, when to and when not to use them
  • Proficiency in a scripting or data analysis languages (such as Python, R)
  • Knowledge of object-oriented language (such as C#, Java, or C++) is required
  • Previous experience with next-generation sequence analysis
  • Experience with Linux required
  • Candidate should have demonstrated experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment
