- Self-starter that thrives within a challenging, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Developing new algorithms to solve complex scientific data processing problems.
- Quickly develop, contribute and vet ideas through exploratory hypothesis testing.
- Communicating professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
- A MS/Ph.D. in Biostatistics/Computational Biology
- Four or more years Industry-related experience
- Ability to derive and build general statistical models that thoroughly explain complex system behavior
- Experience with machine learning techniques, when to and when not to use them
- Proficiency in a scripting or data analysis languages (such as Python, R)
- Knowledge of object-oriented language (such as C#, Java, or C++) is required
- Previous experience with next-generation sequence analysis
- Experience with Linux required
- Candidate should have demonstrated experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment
