Senior Data AnalystUniversity of PennsylvaniaUnited States-PA - Pennsylvania-Philadelphia Li-San Wang's Lab is hiring a senior data analyst to participate in ongoing research on the genetics of Alzheimer's Disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. Duties include (1) analysis and processing of data from genome-wide association and high-throughput whole-genome/whole-exome sequencing studies for Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders; (2) collect and manage genomic annotation data for NIA Genetics of Alzheimer's Disease Data Storage Site (NIAGADS) Genomics Database; (3) coordinate and participate in the development and testing of genomics research software and resource development at Wang Lab.
The minimum of a Bachelor's degree in genetics, biology, bioinformatics, statistics, or other related fields and 4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
Experience with management and analysis of genome-wide association studies, next-generation sequencing data, and use of public genomics databases required. Familiarity with R, MATLAB, SAS, C/C++, SQL, or web development preferred.
