Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our growing team. You will be working with other senior data scientists (100% PhD coverage so far, but PhD not required), as well as supervising a junior data scientist. About the role: As a Senior Data Scientist, your role will involve working with lots of interesting data to drive investment decisions. We are currently using pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch and a number of more esoteric libraries. The work will predominantly be research based but it will also include some implementation. - Minimum of 5 years experience working in a similar role and team environment
- Advanced working knowledge of machine learning basics (estimators, models and model validation, , feature generation, feature selection, etc.)
- Practical experience of basic statistics
- Strong programming experience in R, Python, Matlab or a related language
- Excellent communication skills
- Data munging (the other 90% of data science)
- Guiding and supervising the work of junior members of the team
- PhD or advanced research degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics or a related discipline
- Experience using Python and relevant data science libraries
- Experience with Bayesian statistics
- Time series analysis
- Structural causal models
- Practical SQL knowledge
