As a DevOps Engineer your responsibilities will include building scalable infrastructure on which we deliver our software as well as managing development tools that are used on a daily basis by the members of Engineering team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Lead development operations efforts and be the point person for any infrastructural activities. •Build, configure and manage tools for fast and reliable deployments of our software. •Build tools for monitoring our infrastructure and resolve any issues with instances running in production. •Develop automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor their applications using technologies like Docker, Atlassian Bamboo and Rancher. •Participate in architectural decisions to help improve reliability and scalability of our software. •Help configure and manage development tools such as Atlassian Jira, Stash, Confluence, Artifactory and others. •This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have an access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job. •Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire. •Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements. •Employee must pass post offer criminal background check. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: •BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. •4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role. •4 years of Linux/Unix administration experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: •Experience with Shell or Python scripting. •Ability to read and understand Java code. •Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces. •Practical experience managing applications deployed using AWS or Docker. •Experience with Atlassian applications is a nice to have. •Experience with SQL and relational databases is a nice to have. •Experience programming in Java is a nice to have. •Experience with Labvantage or Clarity LIMS software is a nice to have. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: •Duties are typically performed in an office setting. •The position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material. •Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
