Job Description:
We are currently seeking Senior Health Scientists (Senior Managing/Principal Scientists) to join our Computational Human Health Risk Assessment practice. We are particularly interested in consulting or subject matter experts with a successful record of business development in one or more of our computational sciences practice areas including environmental science, computational toxicology and quantitative risk assessment. These positions offer a stimulating and challenging work environment and significant opportunities for professional growth. Successful applicants will have a multi-disciplinary background consisting of environmental, toxicological or human health risk assessment computational experience including business development and project experience in one or more of our practice areas including: Environmental Science : Air dispersion modeling, emissions permitting, environmental fate and transport analysis, chemical and particulate transport assessments, meteorological modeling/prognostic charting, groundwater transport analysis, indoor air quality modeling, soil vapor emissions analysis, vapor intrusion analysis, product stewardship, and product life cycle assessment Toxicology : Computational pharmacology, food or drug compliance testing / toxicity testing, dose-response assessment, pharmacokinetic modeling, human clinical trial design, high-throughput drug screening, and quantitative structure-activity relationship modeling Human Health Risk Assessment : Quantitative exposure modeling, industrial hygiene modeling, biostatistics, probabilistic analysis, database design and management Specific activities and responsibilities for this position include: > Serve as a senior computational human health risk scientist in the firm responsible for securing and managing the execution of computational human health risk projects > Work with our corporate business development team to lead client development activities within the computational risk assessment practice area > Plan and attend meetings with prospective clients, identify business opportunities, and prepare proposals for projects with significant computational components > Publish and present study findings in the peer reviewed literature and at scientific conferences > Evaluate current literature and regulatory developments involving computational risk assessment > Provide strategic consulting and, if appropriate, testimony as an expert witness in litigation > Work with, manage, and mentor multi-disciplinary staff of health scientists including engineers, toxicologists, industrial hygienists, epidemiologists, environmental scientists and public health professionals > Some travel expected Key Responsibilities: Please see above

Other Requirements
Qualifications for this position include: > MS or PhD in bioinformatics, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science, mathematics, physics, or related field > 10 to 15 years of professional experience within environmental, human health or toxicology-related fields with substantial data analytics and computer simulation components > Experience with relevant computer programming languages and environmental, toxicological or risk assessment methods. Examples include: R, SAS, MATLAB, AERMOD, MODFLOW, ArcGIS, Monte Carlo (probabilistic) modeling, QSAR modeling or PBPK modeling > Expertise in human health risk assessment > Basic familiarity with OSHA, NIOSH, FDA, USDA and EPA regulatory agencies and practices > Experience presenting research findings in academic/peer-reviewed settings and at professional meetings > Excellent verbal and written communication skills > Strong organizational skills and ability to balance time among multiple assignments > Ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teamsRequeriments :
